Angie Barnes
Angie Barnes is the head trainer and owner of TopCrest Stables. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1993 with a degree in Horse Management. She started riding, competing and training horses early in her childhood. After college, she spent several years riding and competing in various locations for several trainers. In 1999 she established TopCrest Stables LLC and started her coaching career. She is dedicated to providing the best training experience in western Michigan. She specializes in the Hunter/Jumper style of riding and is an active member in the IEA, LEHS, & USEF and is Safe sport certified.
Britney Barnes
Britney Barnes is an assistant trainer at TopCrest. She is happy to give a training ride, teach a lesson, or help out with the day to day horse care. Under the guidance of her mother, Britney has been riding since a very young age and has competed on multiple circuits allowing her to gain the necessary skills and experiences for the job. Britney emphasizes the basic fundamentals of horseback riding with her students, as well as highlighting the importance of the bond between horse and rider. Her favorite part about teaching is being able to grow with her students. Britney is an active member in the IEA, LEHS, & USEF and is Safe sport certified.
